One of the fowl you ordered few days ago from Sugar Feather Farm is a higher demand breed. These are birds could be seasonal layers, not as productive or very specialized. Normal wait times and processing of the order will be longer, and we are hoping you received the email before this one on how orders are processed. See our normal wait times here. We are your family farm that provides a hand selected and crafted experience. The welfare of the birds comes first and this means you have a overall better quality animal in all areas.

First we go in orders received and if you pre-ordered your fowl those orders are done first when the season begins.
For hatching eggs we assess the orders already placed and determine when we can fill it then work on collecting eggs for your order. All orders are a general 5-7 week processing time. For babies we set the eggs then it will take at least 22 days till hatch ( quail/20 duck/25 turkey/guinea 29, goose 34). Fully feathered 3 months from egg to bird. So all these normal wait times will vary on the higher demand breeds, it will be longer than the typical timing. We appreciate your patience as many of these high demand breeds require more of our time and energy. Many of those breeds also are not generally production layers.
Just know we have quality stock and the breeds are worth the wait. The birds are lovingly raised, fed top notch nutrition and treated with respect.
